This General Chat area started off as a place for people to talk about things that are off topic, however it has quickly evolved into a community and has become an integral part of the GAW experience for many of us.

In short, imagine this thread to be a local community hall where we all gather and chat daily. Please be respectful to others in the same way
Does anyone have firsthand experience with hypoglycemia? I may be self-diagnosing, but I do have many of the symptoms attributes to it.
Do you have diabetes type 2? If not, have you been tested for diabetes type 1? adrenal function? hypothyroidism? Most Americans eat WAY too many carbs way too frequently. This results in roller coaster blood sugar levels- up then down. I have had it many times when my diet was poor or my adrenals were overly stressed. An integrative physician would be a good person to see if you are able. But meanwhile, buy a blood sugar test kit at the drugstore and keep a food diary and carb count and see how your intake is affecting how you feel and make notes. A good b complex and C supplement may help as well. Just my personal experiences- I have no medical degree.
Thank you! I do have hypothyroidism, and take a low dose of Rx for it daily. My carb intake isn't at all what it used to be, and when I feel like this, it's in between meals and after mowing my yard or other work. My metabolism is higher than it used to be due to my leg exercises, thankfully. Diabetes runs in my family and I do have mild PCOS, which is related to it. I need to see a doctor just to make sure. Both of my grandmothers were diabetics.
