If they truly have the power and ability to do that, then “white hats are in control” is a fantasy.

Also, logically speaking, if they released something “truly nasty” and capable of taking us out, it would take them out too.

So unless they all hightail it to bunkers with their families, my money is betting that this is just more stupid fear porn
