Nothing about Nascar is surprising. Nascar can continue to burn down. I haven't watched in over ten years. You couldn't pay me to watch or go to a race. They went woke a long time ago started with little changes and wanted to get out of the south. I continued watching after Dale Earnhardt died because I've followed the sport since I was a child with my dad. My first race was 1981 and that's when racing was still competitive. Many drivers are starting a new racing series that's more like old racing and isn't affiliated with racing. They don't announce this but many large corporate sponsors have left. I watch Dale Jr download on YouTube. I don't watch any videos about the current races or drivers. We watch the ones with old drivers talking about the past. He's also got a podcast. I don't like podcasts.
Great explanation. I know many they have pushed away. They tried that with Bubba Wallace and most people don't like him. For myself it's not the color of skin or where you come from. Heck I went against my family and pulled for Stewart after Dale died. They hated him. Brad Daughtery played basketball at UNC and later raced cars. He was well accepted probably because he didn't act like the world owned him something. He's a team owner now.

It's the typical woke business model; cater to a minority in hopes of increasing the interest of that minority, while causing the majority to leave.
