Brutal in Houston right now.

We've already had 23 consecutive triple-digit days.

How close are we getting to the August 2011 record of 24 consecutive triple-digit days?

As of Monday, the current 100 degree heat wave sits at 23 days. So this 100 degree heat wave will at least come in second place to the 24 day record set back in 2011. While Tuesday's high temperature forecast is currently 99 degrees, if it happens to 100 that day, we'll tie the long standing record and potentially break it by several days with 100 degree temperatures in the forecast through the end of August.

We're in the far fringe of tropical storm Harold. This may rob us of the record; technically.
