I'm sorry if I seem critical here but this kind of thinking is very infantile, in my view. You're essentially saying our enemies are incompetent stupid fools when every single move thus far made by them show anything bu that.
The enemy is not stupid, but in fact very cleaver. There is every reason, judging by past actions vs successes that strategies are developed out many steps in advanced, and war gamed out to reveal weaknesses and development plans against contingent results.
Our enemy will not attack with a formation we are already setup to counter, they are not stupid. Sun Tzu is not the exclusive providence of the good guys, the bad guy went to war college too, they are well studied in all disciplines of warfare tactics including the old Austrian masters.
What we'll see next will be something we did not expect, so I suggest we quit trying to box in our enemies plans according to our on lack of imagination.
