Part of me wants the USG to try to implement covid protocols again..
Iād wager 75%+ of Americans would refuse to comply. Mass civil disobedience. It would be a galvanizing moment for the American People to stand up together against tyranny..
Bring it. We know the playbook now.šš(Clandestine)

There are people who understand how to work from home, and then there are people who want to work from home for their personal "me" time for sure.
Getting a space without distractions (e.g. an office) is important, and if you can't do that then you're already not suitable for home work.
These people are "working" next to (or on!) their gaming PCs, in front of their big C2 OLED monitors, with a mouse jiggler keeping them active on Teams or whatever, not turning on a webcam for meetings so that they can use a push to talk function to only respond when needed while they play their games.
Some jobs really are that drab in the day to day -- my best friend works one of them -- but for most of these people, they are fighting to stay away from the office, they try to turn down any required commute to a project, and when things get tough in the office because they need to crunch something they shy away or fail because they are only willing to put in the minimum number of hours.
