When the Israelites were up against the Red Sea, with the Egyptian army barreling across the desert intent on destroying them, the people were at the precipice. Destruction was imminent. Then God sent the pillar of fire to stall the Egyptians, and to warn them that God was in on this. Also to encourage the Israelites. Still, the Israelites didn't see any way out of their mess until the sea was parted and the seabed was made dry for them to cross.

We are getting close to that point where there is no way out for us. Cry out to the Lord for His deliverance!
