One tactic is if you were paying taxes, then that means you knew it was "lawful". The reason why 'you' stopped paying taxes is because of 'conspiracy theories' having no basis in law. Save-A-Patriot-Foundation was so effective at using their own IRC against them, they managed to find a corrupt judge (there's many of them) to gag SAPF. Their website still exists and you can read about the persecution there.
