Not really. You cannot assume that when someone is addressed as Dr that they are in medicine. That title is appropriate for anyone that has earned a doctorate - no matter what academic genre their degree covers. For example, theologians with a doctorate are addressed as Dr, as well as anyone else that has earned that title. The assumption that being addressed in that manner automatically means medicine is the fault of the person making the assumption.

The word "psychologist" is the signifer
A PhD in psychology is still a doctorate degree. Psychology has Bachelorette, Masters, and Doctorate level degrees. So what is your point?
What is yours? If you look at my original post on this thread you will see that I accept that it's a doctorate degree.
She says that she has a political psychology certificate from the Stanford Institute.
