It’s not just InfoWars. Lots of sources are pushing it; my normie friends who only get their news from Facebook are seeing the fear porn as well.

Any news outlet has the temptation of using fear or outrage porn to generate clicks. Virtually all of them fall for this temptation at one point or another. Doesn’t mean they’re a bad source, you just eat the meat, spit out the bones, and don’t emotionally react to every headline you read.
