Just an FYI for those that don't know. The DEWs that the US military uses have 2 beams. The first is a targeting laser that you might or might not see depending on the color and conditions. It's a very narrow laser. The destructive energy beam is the second one and it's completely invisible in almost all cases. It could be a laser, but it could also be a microwave weapon. Don't be fooled by these images that look like a beam from a Vorlon Cruiser on Babylon 5.
