O Lord my God, when I in awesome wonder, consider all the worlds thy hands have made.
I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder. Thy power throughout the universe displayed.
Then sings my soul, my Saviour God, to Thee
How great Thou art! How great Thou art!
And when I think, that God, his Son not sparing, sent him to die, I scarce can take it in.
That on the Cross, my burden gladly bearing, he bled and died to take away my sin.
Then sings my soul, my Saviour God, to Thee
How great Thou art! How great Thou art!
When Christ shall come, with shout of acclamation, and take me home, what joy shall fill my heart.
Then I shall bow, in humble adoration, and then proclaim: "My God, how great Thou art!"
What Church is that! All I ever hear anymore is satanic rock music set to water'd down, feel good lyrics! O' how I long for the old hymnal songs!
I was gonna say, justme needs to go to Latin mass if they’re sick of the rock worship music. I think most people are craving real worship of God, incense and angelic music.
Are you next to a big river?
It's hit or miss in evangelical and Baptist churches, many go modern in the song and liturgy. But traditional hymn singing with simple musical accompaniment is standard in confessional, liturgical Reformational denominations like Reformed and Lutheran. Specifically if you look around for churches in the OPC and URC denominations, and some of the PCA, its almost guaranteed they will be singing these kinds of hymns as the norm.
