Big cities, big problems. They had to clear the mall, just when a mob of moviegoers were coming out of their seats. This is the wisdom of having moview theatres empty out into a mall. Big crowds suddenly hitting a bunch of stores, whose staff are all quite happy to roll down security doors, in case of shoplifting. So the aim was to scatter the vermin teenyboppers brandishing guns and other narratives. Store manager reckons no shooting, just that the movies are treated as babysitting service. No adult supervision in the exits, or indeed, in the theatres. Meanwhile 100 unsupervised kids are running around in a real adventure - most hard to control, so stores locked down. This is because the kids are in big groups, wiley and fit, and mostly just innocent bystanders, but no adults.
A two-hour range-fight between two kids, in where-ever they feel like - is part of the fun - is nothing that doesn't happen in small towns, but lol at this force's hooman roadblocks. Shows that this part is about crowd control, not catching perps. And, those cops would not line up like sitting ducks if it was really a fire-arm incident, which this was not. A couple bloody noses as far as I can tell.
