Downed power lines from high winds. The light shining from above is glare. Watch at the end when the car turns onto the road, same lights from above (actually from the light source going up)
I definitely saw some of that. Why does the sky light up just above where the flashes appear? I watched this several time at .25 speed and the light seems to occur before the flash. Try it yourself. It's pretty clear around 34 seconds in.
I turned my video down to quarter speed (25%) and watched it on a 27" monitor.
I was shocked to see one or two white objects flying around in the sky going back and forth flying right near each place that then experiences an explosion.
Was this a drone that was starting the explosions?
Or, was it a ball of electricity floating in the air?
I don't think we can blame this on a 'lens flare' as it didn't follow the movements of the camera and was an odd shape and sometimes became more than one. See what you think.
How bizarre that I didn't notice this thing flying around when I watched it at normal speed!
"It was a spectacular display of light that left thousands of Kenner residents in the dark on Thursday."
"Dramatic cellphone video from WWL-TV viewer Giovanni Bommarito showed several large electrical explosions and power lines sparking up and down Williams Boulevard."

Thank you.
That there looks like some kind of energy weapon doing its thing
Power lines arching in the wind.

Depending on how new the camera. Might be an auto-adjust feature compensating for the flashes of the arcing lines.
Also fairly likely there’s some glare from both headlights of the multitude of passing vehicles and lights from the multiple businesses.
Yea, lots of heavy glare ad it seems reasonable that the camera filters could be responsible.
The shell station is still powered and so are the traffic lights. I also didnt see a single fire started.
Most likely transformer station, discharge electrical arcing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ICL9gz1aYm8
Hey guys - DO YOU SEE WHAT I AM SEEING?
In the higher def original video, I saw something weird that is suspicious. See if you see it, too. (You have to slow the video down to see it.)
