I'm a felon, can't have one. But, how many friends do you know that have more guns than they could possibly need for 10 lifetimes? And, it's more like >65% of the world's guns are owned by Americans.
It's bs you can't own a firearm. Personally, I think the gun laws are unconstitutional. If you are out of prison, you have every right to defend yourself with a gun. I believe when we are fully restored to our Republic with all of our God-given rights, these laws will be wiped.
I did some stupid shit and accept the consequences. It don't mean anything about how I can shoot and know where to get a gun readily. Just words with leverage I'd rather NOT get into. Fact is, I tell my friends that I'm not really interested in them because I'd probably shoot someone and they drop it like you should, too.
First, if you were twenty-one or younger or indeed, any age, you can make a “plea for relief from disabilities”. This will restore your civil rights, including voting rights.
Second, wait a while. The Supreme Court has been a hotbed of second amendment cases lately and slowly, bit by bit, the illegal overreach of executive branch agencies is being struck down.

If you're married your spouse can own guns. (assuming he/she is not also a felon).
Ask G. Gordon Liddy..
Can't you still own a cap and ball revolver?
