It's horrible this guy was abusing kids and covering for other pedos, but FUCK, ths story is about the abuse, not how holier than thou you are, dickhead...

Isn't this an article about the journalists own experiences in covering abuse?
I think the article is fine enough for what he was covering, it wasn't the abuse itself he covered, it was his experience of being blocked by his former editor while trying to report on the abuse.
And also take a moment to understand just how HUGE this article is.
This was printed in the Guardian. The epitome of swamp rat MSN propaganda outlets. An MSN outlet is reporting on an MSN coverup of child sex abuse. For many of its readers, this will be the FIRST time they have ever heard of such a thing. And it will make many of them, perhaps even the article writer himself, think.
It's only a crack. But it doesn't take much of a crack to break a dam.
