I think the article is fine enough for what he was covering, it wasn't the abuse itself he covered, it was his experience of being blocked by his former editor while trying to report on the abuse.

For many of its readers, this will be the FIRST time they have ever heard of such a thing. And it will make many of them, perhaps even the article writer himself, think.
