From direct personal communications with rooftop (I had a LOT since we first began DMing about a year back) - if she was being honest with me, and I assume she was - she's not Korean but has a major thing for Korean food.

I have a rather unique Korean background (?) and do a lot of Korean cooking, so I shared tips with her.

She might possibly be ethnically Korean by lineage, but not a Korean in the sense of being from Korea.
