They are scared that President Trump wants to create a positive foundation myth. The negative one has been reinforced with the assassinations of the 1960s, most notably the Kennedy assassinations as well as the MLK Jr. one. Had they both not been killed, RFK would have been President and more than likely MLK Jr. would have been his Vice President.
