He didn't freeze, he definitely got emotional. I've been there a dozen times: you're overwhelmed with emotion, and you purse your lips and move them, try to steady your breathing, and just take a moment. Look at how he grabs the table, his eyes look away, his lips purse, he pauses. Compare to Mitch who gets a distant gaze and his entire body doesn't move, mouth slightly agape.

Trump is emotional here.

The man loves his country and it shows.

Absolutely! Our Beloved POTUS has sacrificed SO much for Our Nation and the world! It's obvious to me he was trying to check his powerful emotions and regain his composure.

When everyone recognized what he was feeling, they cheered for him louder and then stood up in respect for him....I don't know how all that love didn't send him over the edge of weeping, but instead it steeled him to carry on.
