Oh, wow. Look. The reader-added context shows that the fearmongering is bullshit.

It's just another form of payment, and the customer is able to choose to pay cash instead. And the Chinese government punishes businesses that refuse to accept cash.

Please, people. Stop being so gullible. Don't believe everything you read without doing at least some background work. Not even things posted here.
