Everyone came together in the days after the attacks, but in hindsight 9/11 looks like the moment when everything started to fall apart.

No. Ruby Ridge was my wake up call. JFK would be a pivotal moment. FDR did some montrous damage between WW2 and the New Deal. WW with the FED and 16th amendment...

So many to choose from.
