God is not a dictator. He gave us free will and as long as people choose to use their free will for evil there will be evil. He also gave us an instruction manual and a living example of how to live. He also gave us access to His Spirit to help guide us. When people choose to live His way He starts relationships with them and cares for them providing some protection to offset the evil from others. I say some because being a perfect father He also knows when we need trials to grow and become stronger.
Didn't we also say, when those that have the power and knowledge to stop something horrible from happening to the whole world, sitting back and letting it happen would make you complicit as well?
Lecturing say people in China need to "get stronger" while speaking out just the tiny bit will get you killed...doesn't really help?
I may be misreading your point but God makes individual relationships. Bad things can happen to a geographical area but not everyone in that area will be affected the same way. Moreover, whose to say how one person got affected vs another is worse or on par? Only God would know because He knows what’s in our hearts and who needs what lessons.
God has also has been known to make covenants with nations who exalt Him and live by His standards. China is not one of those nations. God has relationships with some Chinese people so some Chinese will be given protection but not the whole nation.
When the communists took over and executed anti communists, the result was the same: believers in God, Christians or not, non-believers all died in the purge. Where was the onmipresent and omnipotent being intervening there and why didn't he?
Or is it one of those cognitive dissonance things like with the clot shot? "Oh you'll still get sick or die but you'll be less dead"
Okay. What if God saw the oppression that was happening in America before the American Revolution and just disappeared the British from America and sent them back to their country.
Without the struggle, the Constitution isn't made. America does not become an example for other countries to the point that its Constitution is copied and adopted by many countries. There is no everlasting national pride in America. The US States, in fact, are less inclined to join as one and instead become their own smaller countries like many wanted at the time.
A united America never focuses on building its military based on learned lessons and becomes a group of shithole countries that never becomes a world power, never receives major international investment as a 'safe' (military superior) country, and the other countries take hundreds of more years to re-discover the principles of the American Constitution.
In Star Trek one of the philosophies is not to meddle with other civilizations or meddle with time travel, or else it can cause unintended consequences. If you do a 'good' thing and things go bad you are basically responsible for all of it.
What if it's not about controlling everything but to stop say a group of a few from making the rest suffer for decades or hundreds of years?
Communism, fascism, the dark ages, ancient Roman pedos, cabal pedovores, etc
Omnipresent omnipotent being that can intervene any time, surely should intervene then?

Did they really have a better outcome though?
