Russell "Rusty" Hardin, admitted Tuesday he messed up when he accidentally declared his team's case against Attorney General Ken Paxton rested.

Consider the end result of the drama. They prevented Paxton from investigating any Fed wrong-doing. They never found out if the search warrant was altered.

Goal achieved initially, next, to prevent any further investigation, they need to get rid of Paxton.
