I asked because I saw one went I went to my wife's church. Never went back.
I apologize then. The snarky first response to your post got my irish up. This board has a very anti Catholic bent. The hierarchy I totally get. The Pope and the Cardinals and many Bishops are off the rails, demonic pedos and pedo protectors. And I will join right in calling them fucks out especially Bergoglio.
Where I get pissed is that all the other Christian denominations get a free pass and the Catholic laity, who is as much responsible for ending abortion in this country as any, get lumped in with the evil when those other denominations have the same sick shit going on and worse. I have never heard any Catholic support tranny fucking demons while multiple other denominations have actual tranny bishops and pastors.
So again you have my sincerest apology for making a poor assumption and I will try to learn from it.
I'm a former Catholic. What you say about the current state of the Church could easily be said about the Republican Party - the rank and file are totally detached from and often completely at odds with, the leadership.
I have some first and second hand experience with the inner workings of the Cleveland Diocese, especially with regards to the seminary system, albeit from three decades ago, and I'm not familiar with the current Bishop, but my thoughts about this current release is it's far too little, far too late.
That said, I welcome the change and hope they persist. Unfortunately, I feel the laity is going to have to drag the clergy back to the Church's roots if there's any hope of reform.
