I saw Mark Dice respond to this yesterday. Apparently, he's not a fan of Elon, and he says Elon is overcounting views, like even if you just scroll by it, if your eyes were on it, Elon is counting it as a view. Something like that.
that's what impressions are. Impressions and views are totally different, and elon is unfortunately comparing apples to oranges. I'm sure there were a ton of unique views, wish they'd just post that number instead. Because this is a shady way of doing it and makes people who don't trust tucker or trump suspicious.
Yeah the main public view metric just requires that a user let the video autoplay for 2s while at least 50% of it is in view, not very useful for video content.
From an online marketer standpoint, I would love to see that "video views" metrics are at least viewing/running a video for at least half of the runtime.

I think he’s hoping to get called out about “miscounting”. They won’t be able help themselves.
