While both men have criticized vaccines, neither mentioned COVID during the fundraiser for Kennedy's Democratic presidential primary campaign.
Musician Eric Clapton helped raise money at a fundraiser for fellow vaccine critic Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s 2024 campaign for the Democratic presidential primary ticket on Monday.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer entertained Kennedy and donors at a private home in Los Angeles’ posh Brentwood neighborhood where tickets began at $3,300 and went up to $6,600 for some face time with Kennedy, according to TMZ.
Eric made it into the R&R Hall of Fame three times (the only musician ever to have done so), despite having peaked as a guitarist at age 25. That in itself is quite the feat.
It's hard to tell what relevance he expects to gain from this political stunt: backing a candidate who absolutely cannot possibly win.
He got the jab and was vax-injured so badly he had to give up touring for awhile (perhaps still; I've not kept up on his situation) and he was vocal about it. I'm not surprised he's helping RFK Jr. raise campaign money.
