In order to bring some clarity, here are some important definitions:

Drowning: the process of experiencing respiratory impairment from submersion or immersion in a liquid”
Submersion: the airway is below the surface of the liquid
Immersion: the airway is above the surface of the liquid (eg. taking a bath)
