Very thorough and insightful post fren. For the record, by no means am I fully on board with Wood. Doesn't sound like anyone on this thread is. And with good reason. I've always found him sus. Admired his passion at first, but he went way overboard and at times went from passionate orator to raving lunatic. When he was up on stage in '20 and rallying people to civil war 2.0 I immediately filtered out a lot of his commentary. Thats not the way, for the exact reasons you highlighted.
All in all, I think we see eye-to-eye on Wood. He's more harm than good and highly sus. Definitely not to be trusted. Curious tho for more of your thoughts on Chansley. I always suspected he was a plant given he was at a ton of protests for contrasting causes, the video where he was seemingly "guided" thru the capitol, and the fact that all these J6ers are getting 10-20 years in prison, while I think he got something like 2 or 3 and is already out.
The lads over at DEFECTED talked a bit bout the J6 situation in the context of Operation Truth on their recent episode. (Their episodes are always very long, so you might have to jump around a bit to find it.) https://rumble.com/v3kf7p2-defected-ep-42-sun-900pm-et-.html
According to them, those J6ers are people (e..g proud boys and oath keepers) who actually committed violence, broke things and attacked police, and actually planned and attempted to execute the plan to instigate a civil war. But Chansley is not one of them.
Those proud boys and people getting the severe sentences were actually doing pretty bad things. Some innocent people got caught up in the whole operation, but they also point out that if people actually committed crimes, that's what they are being penalized for.
They have some interesting discussion about all this including the Ray Epps situation. (It appears that Ray Epps, who wasn't actually directly involved like the real insurrectionists, handed himself over to the FBI very soon after J6, and flipped and cooperated by squeeling on all the others who did actually do the stuff on the day.
Defected is a long program, but they usually go through 4 or 5 different topics with lots of good in-depth discussion, so jumping around to find the belt (about 30 minutes) where they talk about operation truth and j6 shouldn't be too hard.
In any case, good chats! Great to get your feedback and to read your comments. wwg1
