I've only been paying attention to Russel since covid, but I did go have a stickybeak into his past.

He's done quite a lot of really far out actions, but it looks like he's been on a personal awakening trip for awhile now.

My extrapolation from the situation is that he's innocent of the charges they bring against him.

He's just been too effective at waking up others on the left.
They want to discredit him before they do something we're going to hate.
