There are many forms of democracy. A republic is one form of democracy. Saying a republic isn’t a democracy is like saying a Chevy isn’t a truck because it is a Chevy.
More precisely, our republic is formed through a democratic process. They are overlapping concepts. You could have a republic formed by random lottery, for example. But the terms republic and democracy are not mutually exclusive.
Exactly. I wish I knew why people have started saying that the US is not a democracy. It's like one day I got online and into some chatrooms and suddenly everyone was jumping on anyone who said the US was a Democracy.
It concerns me that so many US citizens don't really understand the basic concept of Democracy and are now showing a lot of anger and scorn when someone talks about Democracy.
Really? You really don’t understand why? I think you’re coy. But I’ll play along. BECAUSE WHEN FAGGOT DEMOCRATS AND LEFTISTS USE THAT WORD THEY IMPLY A DIRECT DEMOCRACY AND YOU KNOW THAT.
We are not a democracy because it is clearly stated in the Constitution that we have a "...Republican form of government".
It doesn't say democratic Republic or representative democracy or any other name with democracy attached to it. Leftists are trying to sneek in their vile communism via "democracy".
Democracy is a leftist form of government where the minority has NO voice. ANY form of that is a slippery slope to enslavement.
We have a Republican form of government...if we can keep it.

Article IV Section 4 of the Constitution CLEARLY states what kind of government we have. No where in the Constitution is democracy even mentioned.
What part of the Constitution do you not understand?

Period.
You can repeat yourself ad nauseam. It doesn't make you right.
Why do you want to continue going around in circles on this? What do you expect to happen?
You are ignorant about our government. That is very clear.
