Welcome to General Chat - GAW Community Area
This General Chat area started off as a place for people to talk about things that are off topic, however it has quickly evolved into a community and has become an integral part of the GAW experience for many of us.
Based on its evolving needs and plenty of user feedback, we are trying to bring some order and institute some rules. Please make sure you read these rules and participate in the spirit of this community.
Rules for General Chat
-
Be respectful to each other. This is of utmost importance, and comments may be removed if deemed not respectful.
-
Avoid long drawn out arguments. This should be a place to relax, not to waste your time needlessly.
-
Personal anecdotes, puzzles, cute pics/clips - everything welcome
-
Please do not spam at the top level. If you have a lot to post each day, try and post them all together in one top level comment
-
Try keep things light. If you are bringing in deep stuff, try not to go overboard.
-
Things that are clearly on-topic for this board should be posted as a separate post and not here (except if you are new and still getting the feel of this place)
-
If you find people violating these rules, deport them rather than start a argument here.
-
Feel free to give feedback as these rules are expected to keep evoloving
In short, imagine this thread to be a local community hall where we all gather and chat daily. Please be respectful to others in the same way
Barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen with the Amish clothes. That type of man would die married to me or probably would have left me the hell alone. I was raised in a family of outspoken women. Also I believe in shorts, tanks, halters & flip flops. Not so much halter tops till I get these pounds off. Someone in family got hooked up with a Mennonite church when he was very young and it messed with him. Long story short he married had about five or six kids (lost count) and would have continued if his wife hadn't miscarried. Wife and girls dressed like Amish. I saw him and family recently and his younger girls had on skirts above the knee and high heels. Wife had pants on. IDK but I think she woke up. I'm dying I've been in there thrift stores today. I got five adorable almost new outfits for my grand baby for $15.00. I can't get even one at Walmart for fifteen bucks. I'm not opposed to buying for myself and have in the past. I tell my husband I haven't reached that level of poor yet. If I needed to shop thrift I would. He still can't smell most things since 2020 and said it smelled bad in the Salvation Army. I asked him did he see me smelling the clothes. He said yes and that bible book (devotional). That was funny to me because you never know who's watching. Tip if you buy thrift baking soda in the wash is great.
