I have heard that too. I also recall if they refuse the debt is canceled. I think some of the people should give that a try just to test their response.
they insist on the co payment prior to any work being done. dont have the $25, dont get the tests or what ever preformed. "legal tender for all debts, public and private". ya, right.
Let's say a doctor's appointment eats up 45 minutes of office time (I couldn't decide between 30 and sixty minutes, so let's split the difference).
Take a normal 9-5 work day (which is being generous). That's eight hours of office time.
Remove one hour for lunch: seven hours of office time.
7*60 is 420 minutes. This isn't reddit, so save the memes.
420/45 is nine and a third appointments. We'll just round down to nine for basic administration tasks, opening and closing things, etc.
A guy with eight friends could fail to attend appointments for an entire work day because gosh darn it, I'm waiting for a new credit card after my last one was used for fraudulent brothel visits in The Strip in Vegas. That guy's debit card expired last month and he didn't realize it until now. That third guy's bank just went under so he's waiting on a cashier's check. Dude behind him only deals in cash, so he's never had a bank card.

You and a few friends making appointments and not having a credit card could be an interesting time.
if by a few you mean a few hundred...

And on and on. We'll all just have to reschedule.
