California’s governor chose a labor leader turned power player to serve in the Senate, and an adviser told POLITICO there were no preconditions about whether she could run in 2024.

The comments are interesting. Hard to tell who is a bot these days but feedback from the blue side seems more negative than I'd expect.

Butler is registered to vote in Maryland but will switch her registration to California.

She moved to Maryland recently for the Emily's List job. Still had a home in CA. Not the craziest scenario but understandably is not what anyone imagines as far as Senate representation.

I hope what this means for us collectively is exposure of Emily's List and Planned Parenthood.
