Matt has already stated that this is more of a smoke and mirrors act. He wants people to see the Democrats protect McCarthy, because they are doing dealings behind the scenes anyways, and this would show who he’s actually working for/with. Matt knows he would need the Dems to help support him on this, which they won’t. So as he says, let them come out to defend McCarthy and then they just openly claim him. This is all this is. Imo a complete waste of time, by all of them. Nothing but a drama based reality show. With bad actors.
