Once an astronomical long shot.....With McCarthy gone and the Speaker chair is now open....it becomes more of a possibility. There may be no consensus within the GOP for candidates....I'm betting they are going to deadlocked with no prevailing Speaker candidate that everyone agrees on. They may look outside of the congressional body and it could be either Nunes or Trump. Nunes would be IMHO a more likely candidate that the GOP Repubs would readily agree to. If Nunes became Speaker, he would open the pathway for Trump to return to the presidency. As Matt Gaetz as already stated, all the republicans need to do is call DJT in as a witness and grant him immunity. This would wipe out all the frivolous indictments against Trump.
Gaetz nominated Trump himself back when they were choosing the last speaker and got laughed at. No one thought he was serious. Honestly I still think it's a very long shot. There's no way all Republicans would vote for him, and definitely no Democrats will.
But also, if Patriots are in control, the little peons do what the new puppet master instructs, you see. And that Man is Daddy DJT.
Quite right. I hope you noticed that I said it is no longer an astronomical long shot. With McCarthy gone, it opened a pathway, despite being a long shot, but nevertheless still a possibility. With congressman Troy Nehls nominating Trump as Speaker, it becomes more of a possibility. I'll take any inch I can get. We know that there is no one that the Repubs have as a candidate within congress. Some congress people have already admitted this even before the vote on McCarthy was taken. If it ends up with the deadlock that occurred for McCarthy...., there is no one that has a clear advantage. It may be another deadlock. This time the repubs may have to look to former times to 'someone' they all liked and respected. Who is this person? I think it is Devin Nunes.
