Not everyone thinks the plan is exactly the way you do either.

It's almost like "moves and counter moves" goes out the window for you sometimes, and you think everyone is playing their role and we aren't witnessing a battle with multiple sides.

Even more to the point: A good villain will make you hate them anyway, because you are intended to do so.
