At the very least Trump is trolling them hard. Their worst nightmare is that he means it, and is going to take it. A lot of folks think that he can't get the votes in the House, but almost any of them that oppose him being made Speaker has just removed themselves from office at their next election. I'll all come down to how bad they want to keep their job, and how much they believe the cabal is capable of installing them in the next election.
