We need to stop thinking of middle easterns as incapable. Israel is in trouble because it won’t be just hamas. People pile in when you’re weakest not when you’re at your strongest and a lot of people hate Israel for one reason or another. If they aren’t careful they will be torn apart by everyone with a grudge.
And the US’s help short of boots on ground might not do much to help them.
