Perhaps I live in a a religious bubble - ( I am Catholic, who does NOT support the socialist a$$hole in the Vatican).
But I have never been able to understand the hatred for the Jewish people. Why do so many people hate them?
What did they do to piss everyone off?
The ONLY thing I dislike about them has nothing to do with them, but the ads someone plays, non-stop, on the TV asking for $$$ to help the holocaust survivors.
I told hubby a few years ago, how can they keep playing these ads for money when most, if not all of the survivors, are long gone?
But I digress...
Why do so many people hate the Jewish population? Because they are financially successful?
Any input is welcomed!
Know what? That the sun is a star?
Yes, that’s a good start.
The best evidence off the top of my head is stars appear very similar to our sun under magnification.
Does it make a difference? The Bible tells me that:
Genesis 1:3 (NIV) And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.
That’s all I’ve ever needed. I’m not sure that it makes a big difference or if there even is a big difference. Same Creator.
Anyone could have wrote what you quoted. It took no knowledge of existence beyond our planet and what we see with the naked eye to say that. Ancient people could see the tiny lights in the sky but had no clue that they were the same kind of thing as 'the sun.' If there were keepers of that knowledge they were not letting on.
I try to keep some doubt about everything. I never want to depend on faith like you do. It could be all a big mindfuck and none of it exists. However it seems extremely likely based on our instruments that the sun is a star.
Do you get that from a book? From TV? From Scientists? I’m just wondering where your chosen system of belief (or unbelief) comes from. I’m curious.
Is it a belief if you think something is likely but maintain some doubt? I think beliefs are sort of 'set in stone' in the person's mind.
