I agree. He always gave me the creeps. His overly dramatic and falsely passionate Baptist-preacher-style 'performances' were enjoyed by many, but for me, his too-big and too-long hair, his bulbous, alcoholic's nose, his hooded, deep set eyes with a stare that could pierce you, and his fist pumping, forceful pointing and arm raising was like a B-movie snake oil salesman. I didn't like him, nor trust him.
He'd try mightily to shame you to 'come to Jesus', or threaten you with 'not being saved' and utilized young volunteers to scan the crowd and drag potential, even reluctant youths to the stage with coercion and shaming to 'accept Jesus' and then immediately afterwards had them fill out a form with their name, address and phone number so they could harass them into sending a monthly 'gift' to his ministry. Yes, I saw this with my own eyes back in the day.
I disliked and distrusted him the first time I heard him and saw him in person and even now, old pictures or videos of him sets my red flags off with a big 'NOPE.'
