I don't think that's evidence the photo was fake or that he did it deliberately.
Looking at the comment section on his post, only a few people brought up the photo being fake.
But there were dozens (possibly hundreds, I stopped reading) of posts about how inappropriate it was for him to be posting photos of dead children (fake or not). So I would think that might be a more plausible reason.
But it could also be because it was fake. I don't really care. I didn't like Shapiro to begin with, and that hasn't changed. So, the totality of my caring about it in the long run is...meh.
