He was a college student who appeared to be very clean cut and conservative. Americans for Prosperity are Never Trumpers who claim if Trump is the candidate Joe Biden will win in a landslide. I spent about 5 minutes talking to him and I bet he no longer works for them. I will detail our conversation in the comments.

When I answered the door, he stated he was with Americans for Prosperity and before he could finish, I blurted out "Americans for Prosperity, you've got to be shitting me". He continued telling me they were conservatives that want to beat Joe Biden. I told him he was insane to work for somebody trying to beat President Trump. He gives the pitch that if Trump runs it will energize Democrats and demoralize Republicans. Keep in mind he had to walk past my car with 2 Trump car window flags on it to get to the door.
I asked him if he knew who he was working for in reality and he said Republican conservatives. I told him he was working for the Joe Biden campaign, and he seemed shocked to hear that. He argued they were trying to beat Biden. I told him to do some research of his own and if he continued working for them, he had serios mental illness. He says he is just trying to make some money to help pay for college. I asked what good a college degree would do him if he couldn't afford food or gas.
I had one of these young bucks come to my door trying to sell solar. He was allowed to get part way through his pitch when the simple question was put forward to him: What good are solar panels when they are trying to block the sun with geoengineering? He was speechless. The look on his face was priceless.
Remember, most all of these young people only know narratives and a script. Once you can interject some question that forces any level of critical thinking, you have planted a seed of doubt. You break the spell.
I liked the "break the spell" comment. It is exactly what you did to this non-thinker who is no doubt completely brainwashed.
I had the solar panels guy in my house a while back. Trying to convince me that spending $51K on solar panels was a good investment. My annual electric bill in 2022 was $2K. I asked him how spending $51K to save $2K per year made any sense. He had no answer other than he was getting paid to sell solar panels, and that's what he was going to do.
No kidding. How any of that green BS agenda makes any financial sense boggles the mind - but yet there are those that buy into it every day.
To consider it a good ''investment'' it would take 25 years, and putting it in a scenario where the electricity bill is expensive, I can't imagine that when electricity prices go down it would take more than 50 years to consider it a good investment.
