I personally think some of the comments on this site can get pretty ridiculous at times, more importantly, they can utterly obliterate an otherwise important message. However, you know what is said about opinions and how they are like a particular body part (everybody’s got one, and they all stink). The thing I have seen that truly ruins credibility is when atheists/agnostics/whatever pontificate about the Bible, yet they don’t believe in it in the first place.

No you don't.
Before 1800 there was no "rapture," just the Day of Judgment.
Jesus returns. There's a second coming, not a third fourth and fifth.
That IS the traditional sense.
Good grief!
You have no idea what I do and dont know. I know that the rapture teaching is modern.
The second coming was the holy spirit when 'tongues of fire rested upon their heads'...do you understand the symbolism here, or do you think that literally their heads caught on fire?
Because, Jesus himself said that the kingdom of Uranus (heaven) is WITHIN not outside in the physical realm, "So if anyone tells you,
There he is, out in the desert,' do not go out; or,
Here he is, in the inner rooms,' do not believe it. For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. Wherever there is a carcass, there the vultures will gather."Highly symbolic, literally "the great awakening". But you keep believing what you want, just leave me out of it with your judgmental tone.
