I’m pretty convinced it’s all an act - loads of kayfabe, “look here not there” going on. Flynn has to maintain a certain level of uncertainty to remain convincing in this movie, all good actors know how important that is.
You’re not getting what I’m saying…
The message is for all. He has to literally “act” like this to successfully complete the operation. He can’t reveal his cards. I don’t have to explain what that is mission is to you, getting our country back. Flynn snapping at Dave is just part of the movie.
Are you serious? You NEVER telegraph your moves to the enemy beforehand or even give an in of the truth if you know they’re watching. Therefore some deception is required always in warfare. It’s called plausible deniability. You take Flynn way too personally. I think you are trying to divide everyone between Flynn and X22, frankly. Just because Dave interviews him doesn’t mean he has to break character. Have you seen how Flynn acts in interviews? You’re making it way more complicated than it is (for whatever reason.)

Flynn wrote an entire book on exactly this.
