The Thunder is the only NBA team to hold a prayer at the start of every home game and it doesn't necessarily have to be a Christian prayer. The team has also invited clergy representing Protestants and Catholics, Rabbis and even Native American leaders.

I think one of the big problems on this site is that people find vague headlines on social media and run away with it without doing proper research.
It started after their hometown was destroyed by hurricane Katrina I belive. That's why they moved to OKC.
Pretty sure Seattle wasn't destroyed by Katrina...
