Why TF did Flynn just ask what a Speaker is, when he knows perfectly well?

Also, has anyone else reading this ever in their life heard anyone use the expression "lost the bubble", as in "I've lost the bubble on this one"?

What kind of drugs is Flynn on? This guy's schtick is getting seriously concerning.
