MSM is trying to obfuscate the chemtrail projects by talking about cloud seeding, which is an innocuous vaporization of silver iodide at low altitudes to induce clouds to release their moisture. Cloud seeding is a technique that is actually not commonly used any longer. There are other projects which are much, much more powerful that impact regions of much greater size.

This is a similar tactic to ridiculing those who talk about chemtrails by claiming that they actually mean contrails.

It's been around at least since 1967. The military used it in SEA on the Ho Chi Minh Trail. Worked better than expected.
