Fwiw, OG Catholics never thought of the Jesuits as "Catholic". Today this is even more true than in the OG days.

Jesuits, for instance, were the one order who did NOT become parish priests. They also never became popes. Until now.

As an aside, I had a four year, all expenses paid, scholarship to a private Catholic, Jesuit run university. Kek. Fun times.
