I will always believe time travel is a load of crap. If you have a time machine, that means you have a machine that can control the movement of every atom in the universe, how else would your rewind atoms to a previous state? Therefore time travel doesn't matter if you can control and create any world you want to.

Changing something to a previous state would erase the present state, so nothing would matter anymore.

Titor's/Tesla's time travel theory is based upon that our present configuration is not the only one and there are many running in parallel, each one slightly different. You can't go back in time on our present configuration, but you can travel to a different one, with the margin of error increasing the further you travel.
